Introducing our President

Gary E. Horton is the creator of the Lean In! programs. He was told at the early age of eleven that he would eventually go completely blind. To fight against all odds, Horton dedicated himself to being successful. After going completely blind, he founded the program as a way to offer his knowledge on businesses to the generations of people who are coming up after him. Aside from the Lean In! programs, Horton started his career in entrepreneurship with businesses such as Leading Edge and Vanward Consulting Services. Horton also has knowledge in several I.T. departments, recruiting, and self-employment. He is also the Interim Executive Director at Greater Detroit Agency for the Blind and Visually Impaired.
